MHP Pre- and Aftercare



Before your treatment, it's a good idea to get your head used to shaving if you haven't already. You'll need to do this daily after your treatment to keep the pigment blended with your own hair. If it gets too long, it will look unnatural because the pigment can't grow like your own hair, making it appear lighter than it would with your hair shaved to the correct length (0.0 mm - 0.5 mm).

Daily care is recommended to keep your skin nice and supple. If you occasionally use a gentle scrub to remove dead skin cells, apply a good cream to your scalp for extra care.

If your skin is too dry, you'll notice flaking. It's important to drink enough water. Hydration comes from within, and you can apply the richest creams, but if you don't drink enough water, they won't be as effective.

If your scalp is too dry, it may also feel more sensitive during the treatment, which is of course better to avoid.



Aftercare instructions


Hair Solutions Clinic uses high-quality, natural pigments. They've chosen a natural pigment to prevent it from discoloring blue over time, as you might see with regular tattoo ink.

Because it is a natural pigment, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions so that the pigment remains in the skin as well as possible.

For the first 4 days after each treatment:


  • avoid excessive sweating
  • not washing the head
  • not shaving the head
  • do not use care products on the treated skin
  • touch the skin as little as possible to prevent possible infections

For 21 days after your treatment, it is not recommended to:


  • to swim in a chlorine pool
  • to visit a sauna or steam bath
  • do not use a sunbed
  • expose the skin to plenty of sunlight (use a sunscreen with factor 30 or 50 to protect the pigment)

After 21 days, you can resume your usual routines. Regularly caring for your scalp will help maintain the pigment and your skin's beauty. When it's sunny, it's recommended to use SPF 30/SPF 50 sunscreen to protect your scalp from UV rays.
