MHP Micro Hair Pigmentation

What is MHP (Micro Hair Pigmentation)?

MHP is an innovative hair treatment that can camouflage hair loss. This treatment method is suitable for virtually any type of hair loss.

The specially designed microneedle, with a diameter of only 0.1 mm, places a point in the skin that is the same size as a normal hair follicle.

Although the treatment method may seem similar to a normal tattoo, this is not the case.

A regular tattoo is applied to the deepest layer of the skin, using a different type of ink. This makes the tattoo permanent and can only be removed with a laser.

With MHP, the pigment is deposited in the second layer of skin, which will lighten the pigment over time. The treatment is therefore semi-permanent. This is intentional. Many people come to the clinic at a young age, wanting to restore their hairline and fill in bald spots.

It's therefore important that the pigment can "grow" with you as you age. For example, when you go gray, the pigment color can be adjusted, or if you prefer to have more receding hairlines, this isn't impossible. With permanent ink and real tattoos, this isn't possible.

A new hairline

Typically, the "shaved" look is most common with MHP, such as in people with hereditary baldness. In this case, the remaining hair is shaved short, creating a beautiful whole with the applied pigment. The difference is invisible. Together, we'll design your ideal hairline. Some people prefer strong contours, while others prefer a softer, more "broken" hairline. For me, it's all about creating a natural look, and we also try to mimic your own hairline as closely as possible. Below, you can see several different results of the shaved stubble look.

MHP for long hair

Hair loss isn't just a common problem for men, of course. Many women also experience hair loss. This can have various causes. Fortunately, women (or men with long hair) don't have to shave their hair short for this treatment. Pigment is simply applied neatly between your existing hairs, and you'll see a significant difference right away. Wearing hairpieces, fiber spray, and other temporary "solutions" is thankfully a thing of the past. The pigment often provides so much density that it's incredibly liberating to get back to doing your thing without having to worry about whether your hair (piece) is still in place.

The result is built up over several treatments. Typically, three sessions are needed to achieve the desired result. Because every skin type is different, you may need a fourth appointment. Of course, this is fully included when you book the treatment, and you'll never pay extra. You also receive a one-year guarantee.

A good start is half the battle, so I recommend a personal consultation to everyone. These are free and without obligation, but they will provide you with all the necessary information, answer all your questions, and I believe it's also important to see if you feel comfortable with your practitioner. It's a personal process, and feeling comfortable with it is crucial. I also want to get a good understanding of your situation so I can help you as best as possible. During this consultation, I can also see firsthand what's needed to achieve the desired result, and the corresponding price that suits your unique situation. After the consultation, everything will be neatly emailed to you so you can review it at your leisure.

The process looks like this:

Session 1: We'll design your hairline together and go through the session together. You'll always know what to expect at your appointment. This session provides the foundation layer. We'll leave a little more space between the ends so you can work on it next time. Results are visible immediately.

Session 2 (after 7 days): The pigment always fades a bit after the first appointment, and this determines whether we'll be working with a lighter or darker shade for this appointment. The new pigment automatically reappears. Personally, this is my favorite session because it gives you a great sneak peek at the final result; it looks much more 3D.

Session 3 (after 3-4 weeks): The pigment has been in the skin for a while now and often appears to be completely gone at first glance. At this appointment, the finishing touches are applied and any necessary touch-ups are performed. This is often followed by a quick check-in appointment to ensure we are both completely happy with the final result.
